HSG Alumni, the alumni organization of the University of St. Gallen with more than 42,000 members, has made a financial investment in the HSG spin-off and ETH startup Studyond. The investment in the AI-powered matching platform for students, researchers, and companies to collaborate on thesis and innovation projects forms part of a broader strategic partnership. The goal of the collaboration is to foster a vibrant intergenerational dialogue: students gain access to practical research questions from the alumni community, while alumni receive direct access to fresh research insights and emerging talent within their own network.
“The Studyond platform creates value for both sides – students and companies. For HSG Alumni, the partnership is also a perfect match because it directly contributes to an important objective of our Strategy 2030: fostering vibrant exchange between generations. It activates the alumni network, provides a valuable service to alumni and their companies, and at the same time opens new perspectives for students,” says Daniel Knus, Managing Director of HSG Alumni.
Through this investment, Studyond will also receive strategic support. Daniel Knus will join the Studyond Advisory Board, where he will support the further development of the platform. Drawing on his experience and network from national and international alumni work, he will help ensure that the platform gains supporters and users not only in Switzerland but also internationally.
